COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater boys varsity swim and dive team defeated Marshall 127.5-52.5 Thursday night at the Browne Aquatic Center in their first Interstate 8 meet of the season.
Taylor Eberts won the 200 and 500 free, Cooper Otto won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, Mason Sabaitis won the 50 freestyle, Benny Travelbee won diving, Redmond Hayes won the 100 butterfly, and the Cards won all three relays. All told, Coldwater won ten of the twelve events.
Taylor Eberts earned his second MHSAA state qualifying cut in the 200 freestyle, Benny Travelbee earned a spot at MHSAA dive regionals with a new team record score of 236.05, and the team of Cooper Otto, Taylor Eberts, Ivan McConnell, and Mason Sabaitis qualified for state in the 200 freestyle relay.
The Cardinals will host their first boys invitational Saturday at the Browne Aquatic Center.
