COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – 25 year-old Alec Kamden Heuer, of Coldwater, was arraigned in the 3-A District Court, facing multiple felony charges including first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child under 13.
According to court documents, the charges stem from an April 2025 incident investigated by the Michigan State Police.
Heuer is also charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) and two counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, involving both prepubescent children and a high volume of prohibited images.
During the hearing, Judge Brent R. Weigle set Heuer’s bond at $500,000 cash or surety, citing significant public safety concerns. As conditions of his release, Heuer is prohibited from having contact with the named victims or anyone under the age of 18 and is barred from possessing any devices with internet connectivity.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 12, 2026, followed by a preliminary examination on February 17,2026 to determine if the case will proceed to the 15th Judicial Circuit Court.
