DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – Detroit Lions season ticket holder Ryan Kennedy is suing Pittsburgh Steelers receiver DK Metcalf, former receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, and several media companies.
Kennedy is the CEO of a mortgage company and is seeking $100 million-dollars for defamation and negligence after he says he was falsely accused of being a racist. He says Metcalf assaulted him during a December 21st, 2025 game at Ford Field, and video shows him grabbing Kennedy’s blue wig while he swung a closed fist in his direction.
“Nightcap” podcast co-host Shannon Sharpe claimed Kennedy used the “n-word” at Metcalf, which Kennedy denies.
