Linda A. Lance, 83, of Bronson passed away March 18, 2026.
Per her wishes, no memorial or funeral services will be held and cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Born September 6, 1942 in Coldwater, Michigan to Ralph D. and Doris J. Meyer. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1960 and Michigan State University in 1964 with a B.A. in Accounting, which was pretty rare for women at that time.
Linda married Gary K. Lance of Wyandotte, Michigan July 4, 1964. They divorced in 1987.
She was a Computer Management Systems Analyst with the U.S. Government for nearly 30 years and retired in July 1994. She served with the Department of Energy, Interior and Defense in Indianapolis, Indiana, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Washington D.C. area. After retirement, Linda returned to Bronson, Michigan to care for her mother and several other family members. Her father, mother, brother Lynn, and sister-in-law Jessie predeceased her.
Linda is survived by her nieces, Michelle (Meyer) Essenberg and Melinda (Meyer) Pairitz, who saw their Aunt as a lovely, elegant, sophisticated, quick-witted, independent and altruistic woman. She cherished and is also survived by Doug Essenberg, Ellie and Cecelia Essenberg, Eric Pairitz, MacKenzie (Pairitz) Innocenti, Westley Innocenti, Megan and Ryan Pairitz.
Linda wished to share with those who knew and loved her, “I love you all and will see you again in Heaven”.
