Tommy B. Ciotta, 67, of Tekonsha, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his home from natural causes.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Tommy will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Union Church UCC, 206 Randall Street, Tekonsha with Pastor Melanie Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be held just prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., at the same location. A private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Tommy was born March 29, 1958, to Leonard E. and Mary Ann (Clark) Ciotta in Marshall, Michigan. He graduated from Tekonsha High School with the Class of 1977.
March 10, 1979 he married Denise (Ray) Chase. They were married for 25 years and raised their two children together.
Tommy worked at Marking Machine in Tekonsha, Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, and most recently at Randall Food Products in Tekonsha. Tommy enjoyed working, building and farming. What he cherished the most was spending time with his friends, children, and grandchildren.
He loved spending time camping on Hog Creek, floating and kayaking the river and restoring his first car, a 70’s Dodge Charger. Tommy was a great man, very hardworking, always had a smile and enjoyed making people laugh.
Surviving Tommy are his children, Matt Ciotta of Tekonsha, and Kate Hamel of Fulton; his grandchildren, Thomas Ciotta, Pierce Hamel, and Ellory Hamel; his siblings, Cindy Warner of Tekonsha, Steve Ciotta of Fort Payne, AL, and Leonard “Eric” (Angela) Ciotta of Tekonsha; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
