Sandra Kay Bailey, 68, of Bronson, a kind and generous woman who lived a full and God-centered life, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, at Insight Hospital & Medical Center Coldwater. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to all who knew her.
In keeping with Sandra’s wishes she will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation of Union City.
Sandra was born September 26, 1957, in St. Ignace, Michigan. She grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she graduated from high school in 1975. It was there she met the love of her life, Boyd “Bill” Bailey, originally from Kentucky. The two were married in 1976 and built a life centered on family and faith.
Sandra was a devoted mother to her three children, raising them in Kentucky for ten years before returning to Michigan and settling in Union City. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication, beginning her career as a cook at Tekon and, through years of hard work and determination, advancing to the role of office manager before retiring in 2010.
In her retirement, Sandra found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved doing word puzzles, crocheting, shopping, and most of all, spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love made her the heart of the family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Boyd “Bill” Bailey, who passed away in 1989, her parents, Virgil and Patricia Green, as well as her sisters, Karen Paschall and Vicki Green.
She is lovingly remembered by her children; Stephanie (Randy) Stage, Jr. of Bronson, Stephen (Lynn) Bailey of Marshall, and Scott (Sheila) Bailey of Bronson. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren; Jared, Quintin, Gabrielle, Cody, Kaylee, Wyatt, Kinzi, Calib, Cason, and Carter; and her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brayley, and Cassidy.
Sandra’s life was a reflection of compassion, resilience and faith, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
