UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – In preparation for the Riley Dam project which will start on September fourth, the Village of Union City has announced there will be a planned power outage next Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. in the Union Lake area.
It will affect Dunks Road west of Arbogast Road as well as Day, Thomas Drive, Cherokee, Ottawa, Haughey, Tacoma, Chippawa, Thrams, Beach Bay and Deer Run.
For the majority of those affected, the outage will last one to two hours but it could be as long as four hours.
Residents affected are being asked to plan ahead.
Crews will cut over the power to the new line on Riley Road so the old line near the dam can be removed.
