COLON, MI (WTVB) – The 81st Annual Abbott’s Magic Get Together in Colon will wrap up on Saturday.
Abbott’s Magic Company, the Colon Lions Club and the Colon Chamber of Commerce put on the event.
B.J. Mallen from Abbott’s Magic says it all started in 1926 when Harry Blackstone Senior and his family came to town. His friend Percy Abbott visited him in 1934 and eventually decided to open Abbott’s Magic Company in Colon.
Mallen says the annual family oriented event in Colon which has a population of only about 1,200 persons is unique.
The event attracts magicians from all over the world to the community which is known as the Magic Capital of the World.
