BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A late afternoon shower moving through southwest Michigan put a damper on most of Tuesday’s high school sports schedule.
Coldwater’s baseball and softball teams had just started their games at Pennfield when they were forced into a postponement. And at Union City, the Chargers were midway through the first game of their doubleheaders against Springport when the rains came. Resumption dates have not yet been announced.
Over at Quincy, they managed to get in the first game of scheduled baseball and softball doubleheaders against Bronson before the rains came through. The second games will be played Wednesday afternoon at 5 p.m. back at Quincy.
And Coldwater’s Interstate 8 track meet at Jackson Northwest was called before the final few events could be run. Results from the meet will be made available later on Wednesday.
