COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Louise Crist won this year’s Great Hospice Duck Race which was hosted by ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
She works at the hospital and has supported the event for many years.
Louise plans to use the first prize money of $2,018 to publish a book that she has written in memory of her daughter Jillian.
Ironically, Jillian was born on February 18 which is 2/18 and the check was for $2,018.
Proceeds from the book will be put towards the Jillian Crist Memorial Fund that provides scholarships for individuals entering the health science field after high school.
There were numerous sponsors once again this year and Dutcher Funeral Home provided the first prize money.
