AUGUSTA, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater took nine players to make two teams to the Hillsdale Academy Invitational Wednesday at Stonehedge North Golf Course and came away with fifth and sixth place finishes in the nine-team field. Marshall won the event with a team score of 317. Coldwater’s second team shot a 340, while Coldwater’s first team carded a 349.
Leading the way for Coldwater were Jake Fosdick and Kolton Rice. Fosdick shot a 79 and Rice carded an 83, which were good enough for seventh and tenth place respectively.
After Fosdick on the first team, Dracyn Foster shot an 86, Colten Calhoun 88, Braydon Wilkins 96, and Wayne Case 98. After Rice on the second team, Jack Aker fired an 84, Cooper Otto 86, and Joseph Searls 87.
The Cardinals are back in action Monday at Cedar Creek Golf Club for the Lakeview Invitational.

PARMA, MI – Quincy, Union City, and Pansophia Academy took part in the Springport JV Invitational Wednesday at Burr Oak Golf Course in Parma, set up in a scramble format.
For Quincy, the team of Bo Tissue and Daniel Burritt shot a 77, which tied them for third overall for the tournament. Kalin Scheidler and Gavin Bearden shot a 86 and placed 14th overall. Colton Walters and Tucker Nichols shot 105, which was good for 27th place.
For Union City, the team of Blayne Crance and Kelub Miller shot a 78, putting them in a three-way tie for fifth. The team of Luke Arlt, Ryen Dibert, and Zoey Fruin fired a 90 and finished 23rd, and the team of Gabe Mowry and Henry Case shot a 99 and placed 26th.
Pansophia’s team of Brayden Patterson and Draegan Thomas were part of a three-way tie for fifth with their score of 78.
