COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Citing a lack of business, The Salvation Army Thrift Store in downtown Coldwater will be closing later this month.
In a letter to customers from Captain Sharyn Tennyson, the Corps Office for Branch and St. Joseph County, she said even with great donations, The Salvation Army has not been able to sell enough to cover expenses. Tennyson said they will move their resources to serve the community in other ways.
The thrift store has stopped taking donations, and will be closing at the end of business Saturday, July 28, 2018. It has been located in downtown Coldwater for over 10 years.
The Salvation Army Social Services Office will be relocating to the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center in Coldwater.
