SUNFIELD, MI (WTVB) – Maple Valley hosted the sixth Big 8 Conference boys golf jamboree of the season Tuesday at Centennial Acres Golf Course. Quincy came in third with a team score of 185, four strokes behind runner-up Springport. Bronson was fifth with their score of 220, and Union City was sixth, just two strokes back with their 222. Stockbridge won the jamboree with a score of 174.
Quincy’s Braylon Estlow was the day’s medalist, leading the field with a nine-hole score of 41. Bo Tissue was eighth with his round of 46. Also for the Orioles, Codin Ayerdi shot a 48, Jax Sergent and Carson Craven each fired a 50, and Daniel Burritt carded a 53.
For Bronson, Andrew McConn led the way with a 52, Naz Salesman shot a 53, Layne Arver had a 56, Joseph Bir fired a 59, and Drew Shoup carded a 61.
For Union City, Blayne Crance shot a 48, Luke Arlt had a 54, Gabe Mowry fired a 55, Kelub Miller carded a 65, and Henry Case shot a 66.
Bronson returns to action next Tuesday at the final conference jamboree of the season, hosted by Quincy at the Coldwater Golf Course. Quincy and Union City will take part in the Oriole Classic on Thursday.
