BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As it turns out, U.S. 12 between Coldwater and Bronson will be open just in time for this weekend’s Bronson Polish Festival.
While officials with the Michigan Department of Transportation said late Wednesday morning that a contractor delay would keep the highway closed near Batavia Road, the barricades were later removed and the road reopened by early afternoon.
Almost 10 miles of U.S. 12 was repaved between Bronson and Coldwater. The $2.4 million project included the removal of the bridge over the Indiana Northeastern Railroad.
Construction started in late April.
