COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Jim’s Place Billiards in downtown Coldwater, is gearing up for a massive street party this Saturday, May 16, to celebrate its second anniversary.
The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 4 S Monroe St, transforming the area into a hub of outdoor entertainment. In a unique move for the local pool hall, several tables will be brought outside for open-air games, complemented by a cornhole tournament, multiple food trucks, and a live performance by Aaron Wood.
The highlight of the day features a special guest appearance by Billiards Hall of Famer Jeanette Lee, better known as “The Black Widow”. Lee will be on-site to meet with fans, offer inspiration, and participate in games throughout the celebration.
The event is free to the public and serves as a major milestone for the business after two years of growth in the community.
It will also be part of a busy Saturday downtown with the 3rd annual Cultural Jubilee also scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with those activities centered in and around the Tibbits parking lot.
As of Tuesday afternoon it appears Mother Nature will cooperate with the forecast calling for sunshine and temperatures in the low 80’s for the first big weekend of downtown summer activities.
