COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Golf Course hosted 23 boys golf teams Thursday in a pre-Regional event to help get ready for the MHSAA Regionals that Coldwater and Hillsdale Academy will be hosting on separate days the final week of May.
Coldwater had two teams playing in the event, and the Coldwater Red team finished in second place with a score of 330, two shots behind Vicksburg. The Coldwater White team finished in twelfth place with a 356.
Individually, Joe Searls tied for second place in the event. His 78 was two stokes back of the the event winner. Also for Coldwater Red, Kolton Rice was part of a six-way tie for eighth place with his 81. Jack Aker shot an 84, Dracyn Foster fired an 87, and Braydon Wilkins carded a 92.
Coldwater White was led by Jake Fosdick, who was part of the six-way tie for eighth with his 81. Wayne Case was not far behind with an 82, Colten Calhoun shot a 93, and Cooper Otto shot a 100.
Coldwater will be at the Parma Western Invitational Monday at Arbor Hills Golf Club, while the Cardinal JV squad will be at a jamboree Friday hosted by Lakeview at Riverside Golf Club.

PARMA, MI – Bronson, Quincy, Pansophia Academy, and Union City were at Burr Oak Golf Club for a scramble event hosted by Springport, the Cheesesteak Classic.
For Quincy, the team of Braylon Estlow and Carson Craven finished tied for third with a 1-under-par 71. The duo of Codin Ayerdi and Kalin Scheidler placed eleventh with an 84, and the team of Colton Walters and Gavin Bearden finished with a 100.
For Bronson, the duo of Joseph Bir and Layne Arver carded a 92.
For Pansophia Academy, the team of Blake Reed and Justin Leland fired a 93, while the duo of Luis and Rashel Martinez shot a 94.
For Union City, the team of Blayne Crance and Gabe Mowry tied for seventh place with their 76, and the trio of Henry Case, Kelub Miller, and Luke Arlt tied for twelfth with an 86.
Quincy will join Coldwater at Arbor Hills next Monday for the Parma Western Invitational. They will return to Arbor Hills next Tuesday and join Bronson and Union City for the Big 8 Conference Championship.
