JIMMERSON LAKE, IN (WTVB) – Six fire departments either battled or were on standby for a house Jimmerson Lake in Steuben County Sunday morning.
The first fire units on the scene found a two-story residence with heavy fire on the first floor and extending into the second floor and the attic. The first crew attacked the fire from the outside knocking down the bulk of the fire then transitioning inside to continue putting out the fire.
According to officials with the Angola Fire Department, crews battled high temperatures and humidity while fighting the fire. They were able to keep the majority of the fire damage to the first floor.

Assisting the Angola Fire Department were the Fremont Fire Deptartment, Orland Fire Department, Steuben Township Fire Department, Ashley-Hudson Fire Department, Steuben County EMS, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, and Auburn Fire Department.
