COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Drivers are now paying an average of four-dollars-84-cents a gallon to fill their gas tank in Michigan. Triple-A says that is an 11-cent increase from last week, 97-cents more than last month, and a dollar-65 more than what we were paying heading into the Memorial Day Holiday last year.
Branch County and St Joseph counties have some of the most expensive gas in Southwest Michigan, with an average price of $4.91 per gallon Hillsdale County checks in with an average of $4.74 per gallon while it will run you about $4.86 per gallon in Calhoun County.
Just across the state line in Indiana where the governor declared a tax holiday and suspended both the sales tax and excise tax a number of stations are below $4.00 per gallon this morning.
