Carol Lynn Hart-Cummings, 69, of Bronson, MI passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Thursday, May 21, 2026.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Visitation will be held that morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Carol was born March 20, 1957, in Sturgis, MI to William and Muriel (Green) Greene. She lived a life centered around hard work, family, friendship, and making memories with those she loved most.
December 16, 1978, Carol married Gregory L. Hart. Together they shared many years of love and companionship before Gregory preceded her in death December 25, 2001. Carol later found love again and married Richard Cummings. They shared eight wonderful years of marriage before Richard preceded her in death December 19, 2019.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Carol spent many years employed as a welder at A1 Production and Perfect Circle Valve Seal. She was proud of the work she did and the life she built through determination and perseverance.
Carol was also a familiar and friendly face at both the Coldwater American Legion and Quincy American Legion, where she not only enjoyed the fellowship of fellow members but also worked as a cook, serving others with warmth and care.
Carol had a deep love for the outdoors and treasured time spent fishing and boating. Music also held a special place in her heart, and she spent many years helping her first husband Gregory with his DJ business, creating fun and joyful memories along the way.
Carol honed her tenacious spirit as an active member of “Tough Woman Boxing,” but more than anything, she loved being surrounded by friends and family. She never passed up an opportunity to celebrate life’s special moments, big or small, and her laughter, kindness, and welcoming spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Carol was completely devoted to her family, who brought her endless pride and joy throughout her life. Her strength, love, and unwavering dedication will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Carol’s family will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she shared with them. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on through all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Carol leaves behind her daughters Stacey (William Mausby) Hart, Laura Blankenship both of Bronson, MI; her sister Gloria (Gregory) Vaccaro of Battle Creek, MI; her grandchildren Alicen (Brandon Burlew) Hart-White, Desiree Hart-Goodyear, Gregory Briggs, Tory Hart-Goodyear, Connor Briggs, Jacob Briggs; her great granddaughter Harper Burlew; her many loving nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Diamond.
In addition to her first and second husbands Gregory Hart and Richard Cummings, Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Linda Gebbink and Nancy Reed, and her granddaughter Shelby Briggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family.
