COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – History was made Tuesday at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium, as Coldwater participated in the inaugural MHSAA Boys Volleyball Tournament. The Cardinals won their first-ever postseason match by beating Howardsville Christian 25-18, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18 in a Division 2 Regional first round contest.
Coldwater improved to 2-12-1 on the season; their other win was also against Howardsville Christian during an April 13th quad at Mattawan. The Cardinals will face fourth-ranked St. Joseph Thursday at 5 p.m. in a Division 2 Regional Semifinal contest at Gull Lake, with the winner facing either Fennville or the host Blue Devils Friday for the Regional title.
