COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two days after the Coldwater Golf Course welcomed high school golfers for an MHSAA Division 2 Regional hosted by Coldwater High School, another group of prep golfers made their way to the shores of Morrison Lake for a Division 4 Regional hosted by Hillsdale Academy.
The host Colts won the Regional with a team score of 330, while Whitmore Lake finished second with a 339. Addison and Centreville tied for third with a 352.
Addison will join the first and second place teams at next weekend’s Division 4 Lower Peninsula Finals at MSU’s Forest Akers West Golf Course based on the fifth golfer tiebreaker criteria.
Hillsdale Academy’s Edward Keaster was the individual medalist with an 18-hole score of 76. His teammate, Lincoln Knirk, tied Centreville’s Connor Geigley for second with a 77. Also for the Colts, Grayson Young shot a, 86, Luke Alvarez carded a 91, and Ben Lutz fired a 94.
Geigley had the top score among individuals on non-qualifying teams. Joining him as individual participants in next week’s Finals are two teammates from Petersburg Summerfield, James Feudi and Logan Schwichtenberg, who each carded an 81.
