BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department was recently awarded an $1,800 regional training grant from the Michigan Firefighters Training Council.
This is the second training grant the fire department has secured this year. The department hosted a Basic Strategies for Farm Emergencies class at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital in April.
The latest grant was awarded by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It was open to emergency response agencies throughout the area.
Officials plans to use the grant funds for two emotional health and wellness classes where significant others will accompany first responders to the class. All law enforcement, emergency medical services providers, and 911 dispatchers in Branch County will be invited to attend. Any firefighter in Michigan is also welcome to attend.
