Terry R. Bloom, 76, of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his home.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Terry was born on April 11, 1950 to Chester and Velma (Boose) Bloom in Dayton, OH. He graduated from Brookville High School in 1968 and went on to attend Tri-State College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Following his education, Terry proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.
He married Geraldine “Geri” Miller April 15, 1978. She preceded him in death November 26, 2024.
Terry dedicated his professional career to CTS Corporation in Elkhart, where he worked as a chemical engineer from 1972 until his retirement in 2012.
A lifelong railroad enthusiast, Terry was the founder and president of the Little River Railroad, a role that allowed him to share his passion for trains with countless others. He especially enjoyed collecting model trains, traveling by rail, and visiting railroads throughout the United States. Whether exploring historic rail lines or discussing locomotives with fellow enthusiasts, Terry’s love of railroading was evident to all who knew him.
He cherished time spent camping with family and friends and found his greatest joy in being with his grandchildren. He loved creating memories with them and took great pride in watching them grow.
Terry is survived by his children Heather (Erich) Kaiser of Fremont, Travis (Lisa) Bloom of Fremont, Trevor (Amanda) Bloom of Emma, IN, Tyler Bloom of Battle Creek; his siblings Carol Bloom, and Bruce (Amber) Bloom; and grandchildren Addison Kaiser, Nevin Bloom, Declan Bloom, Cullen Bloom, Hudson Bloom, Lydia Bloom, Chester Bloom; many nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend Anne Barns.
In addition to his wife, Terry was also preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Velma Bloom.
