COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two major road construction projects begin in Branch County on Monday, causing expected traffic delays.
In Union City, Excell Paving Plus is rebuilding North Broadway Street from the cemetery to the bridge, a major project that includes replacing downtown concrete parking. While road closures will occur, local business access via side street parking and open sidewalks will be maintained.
Concurrently, MDOT will be starting a $1.9 million, 15.4-mile repair project on I-69 from the Indiana state line to East Central Road.
This project involves concrete repairs and sealing, with single-lane closures expected through mid Octobor.
Motorists are advised to use caution in these work zones.
