COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Wrestling Club and its staff are putting together a commuter camp that will bring in wrestlers from across the area later this month.
The commuter camp will be hosted at Legg Middle School July 20-22 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. each day.
Camp clinician headliners are Ben Bennett, four time NCAA All American and head wrestling coach at Central Michigan University; Alex Dieringer, three time NCAA champion and current staff member with the University of Michigan wrestling program; and Coldwater native Zoe Nowicki, current pro MMA fighter, two time National Champion, and two time National Team Member.
Each day wrestlers will receive three sessions of learning and development provided by our lead clinicians, catered lunches, and fun activities during their down time.
The camp will cost wrestlers $100 to attend. Wrestlers with at least two years of experience and within grades 4th-12th are eligible to attend.
In addition to the commuter camp, the Coldwater Wrestling Club is also offering a “Beginner’s” Camp July 21-22 from 12:30-4:00 p.m. each day.
The Beginner’s Camp is designed for future wrestlers, student athletes who have thought about wrestling, but weren’t sure if they wanted to jump into a season long commitment. These campers will receive two sessions each day. Each session will replicate what wrestlers would receive during their first two weeks of practice during the regular wrestling season.

To be eligible for the Beginner’s Camp, campers must be Kindergarten–6th grade and attend Coldwater Community Schools or live within the CCS district. Future wrestlers will not need wrestling shoes or headgear for this camp, unless already acquired. The Beginner’s Camp is $30 to attend.
Deadline to register for either of these camps will be Friday, July 17th.
