Julie S. Preston, 63, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, July 14, 2026 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater.
Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services held at this time.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Julie was born September 29, 1962 in Coldwater, Michigan to Jerry Sweet and Janice (Hawkins) Sweet.
Julie spent many years working as a waitress at Jeannie’s Diner, where she got to know so many people throughout the community. She enjoyed being outside doing yardwork, going camping, and making trips to the casino.
Julie was a people person through and through. She had a big personality, loved to laugh, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her sense of humor, and the way she could make people feel welcome.
Julie is survived by her children, Adam (Tracy) Hurd, Stacy Gundrum, and Ashley Hurd; her grandchildren, Brayden Mitoska, Ambriah Lewis, Ella Hurd, Dawson Hurd, Lawyer Butchbaker, and Nixon Butchbaker; along with many other family members and friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Janice Sweet, and her sister, Cindy Butler.
