BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) is scheduled make multiple stops Bronson and Hillsdale on Friday, to meet with local manufacturers, city officials, and veterans.
The representative’s day will begin in Bronson at 1:00 p.m. with a visit to Madsen Steel Wire Products, where he will discuss the ongoing local impact of the Working Families Tax Cuts.
At 1:30 p.m., the Congressman will meet with Bronson city officials at City Hall before touring the Bronson Wastewater Treatment Facility to review upgrading efforts, which are backed by nearly $2 million in federal appropriations funding that Walberg helped secure last year.
Later in the afternoon, Congressman Walberg will travel to Hillsdale to host the July Veteran of the Month presentation at 4:00 p.m. held at the American Legion Post 53. This month’s ceremony will honor Hillsdale resident Patrick Knight, a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Seven (HC-7), famously known as the “Sea Devils.”
Knight’s distinguished service included hazardous rescue missions for downed pilots during the Vietnam War.
