COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater’s Information Technology Director, Pat Pool, has been named IT Professional of the Year by the Michigan Government Management Information Sciences (Mi-GMIS).
This prestigious award honors public-sector technology professionals whose outstanding leadership and service significantly advance the effective use of technology in government, ultimately boosting organizational efficiency and public service.
Pool was chosen for the honor by the Mi-GMIS award committee in recognition of his lasting impact and unwavering commitment to the government IT profession.
The distinction highlights Pool’s more than 20 years of dedicated service and leadership in municipal information technology.
Throughout his extensive career with the City of Coldwater, he has continuously strengthened the municipality’s technology infrastructure with a sharp focus on cybersecurity, innovation, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Coldwater IT Manager Keith Nearpass said “Pat’s dedication, knowledge and commitment to both his team and the Coldwater community have made a meaningful and lasting difference,” he also who noted that the well-deserved recognition reflects Pool’s continued excellence and vital leadership in public service.
