COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Coldwater man who is charged with allegedly downloading child pornography onto his computer has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
44-year-old Christopher Jackson Fowler waved his preliminary exam in Branch County District Court which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
A Circuit Court arraignment has been scheduled for March 1.
Following a Michigan State Police investigation, Fowler was charged by Branch County prosecutors with aggravated possession of child sexual abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Prosecutors also filed a fourth time habitual offender sentencing enhancer against Fowler if he is convicted of the felony crimes.
Part of the investigation included a search warrant being served by the State Police on Fowler on October 20, 2020 at his Hooker Street home.
Fowler is free after posting a $50,000 bond. As part of his condition for posting bond, Fowler was ordered not to have any unsupervised contact with children.
