COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Central and Quimby early Wednesday morning resulted in one driver being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Juan Paniagua Ireta of Bronson, failed to stop at a stop sign while driving northbound on Quimby Road, causing his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado to collide with an eastbound 2023 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 40-year-old Marvin Jenkins of Bronson.
Jenkins transported to Insight Hospital in Coldwater, while Paniagua Ireta sustained minor injuries and refused on-scene medical treatment.
The Lakeland Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance, Branch County Central Dispatch, VIP Auto and Recovery, and First Call Towing all assisted at the scene.
