COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – LifeCare Ambulance response time goals were compliant for the second quarter of 2026 under terms of a contract with Branch County.
LifeCare Vice President of Operations Brian Walls told the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session this week their overall response times met the metric in the contract during 86 percent of their calls between the start of April and the end of June with their priority one calls meeting the metric 80-point-four percent of the time.
Priority three calls response time goals were met 94-point-six percent of the time.
The contract calls for response times of 15 minutes or less on 80 percent of emergency or priority one calls. The same percentage applies to 30 minute priority three non-emergency calls.
On average, the overall response time average for all ambulance runs was 10 minutes and 50 seconds which broke down to nine minutes and 38 seconds for priority one calls and 12 minutes and 30 seconds on priority three calls.
Walls said their staffing increased in June to 95 percent after being as low as 71 percent in February. He added customer satisfaction in the second quarter was at 92 percent.
