COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Seattle man was arraigned Monday in Branch County District Court on numerous drug charges and for trying to flee from Coldwater Police late Saturday night.
38-year-old Eric James Carson is being held in the Branch County Jail on a $55,000 bond.
Coldwater Police say Carson was arrested after a one mile pursuit which started when an officer tried to pull him over near the Wal Mart store on a traffic violation.
Carson was formally charged on Monday with three drug charges which included possession of methamphetamine and possible heroin possession. He was also charged with fourth degree fleeing and eluding. Carson was also arrested Saturday on 2014 warrants for forging a license plate and larceny less than $200.
