UNION CITY, (WTVB) – The Village of Union City has officially opened a sealed bidding process for several pieces of vintage playground equipment recently removed from local parks.
The available items include a dolphin spring rider, a duck spring rider, a hippo spring rider, and a two-person see-saw.
Many, if not all, of these nostalgic pieces were originally manufactured by GameTime Inc., a historic playground manufacturer based out of Litchfield.

Interested buyers can inspect the nostalgia-inducing equipment ahead of time by calling the Village Office at 517-741-8591 to schedule an appointment.

All items are being sold strictly “as is, where is” with no warranties or guarantees, and the winning bidders will be entirely responsible for the removal and transportation of their purchased pieces.
Those interested in bidding on the vintage equipment must submit their sealed bids—clearly detailing the specific item numbers, bid amounts, and personal contact information—no later than Friday, August 28 , at 1:00 p.m..
Bids can be mailed to the Village of Union City at 101 S. Broadway Street, dropped off in person, or placed in the official Village Office drop box.
The sealed bids will be publicly opened at the Village Office at 3:00 PM on August 28, and the community is welcome to attend.
