COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – When the Branch County Fair opens this morning it will do so with new Queen and King.
Veronica Bir and Austin Preston were crowned Queen and King during Sunday nights opening ceremonies at The Cabin Pavilion. They were chosen based on leadership, academic excellence, and community dedication, the newly crowned royalty emerged from an exceptional field of nominations.
This year’s court also included queen contenders Abbigal Ferry and Laurisa Johns, , alongside king candidates Garrett Gruner and Adam Franks, all of whom will represent the fair throughout the week.
The 96th addition of the Branch County Fair , with a packed schedule of events highlighting local agriculture and high profile grandstand action.
Today’s lineup features the Pony Pullers 10:00 a.m..
The evening transitions to massive horsepower as the Street Legal and Semi Truck Pulls are scheduled in the grandstands at 7:30 p.m..
Fair Board member Tom Waltke says one thing new fair goers will notice this year will be the electronic ticketing at the entrance gates.
