COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s 21-cents a gallon cheaper to fill the gas tank this week than last in Michigan. Triple-A Michigan says the price has dropped to $4.15, 22-cents more than last month and 91-cents more than last year.
Branch County has scene a nearly 50-cent per gallon drop over the past couple of weeks to an average of $3.87 per gallon this morning according to AAA it’s also $3.87 in Hillsdale County and $3.96 per gallon in St Joseph County.
Across the state line where Indiana Governor Mike Braun extended his states gas tax holiday into September and continues to have some of the lowest pump prices in the nation at $3.48 per gallon, some stations in Angola are just below $3.40 per gallon.
Nationally the average has dropped to $4.00 per gallon.
Oil prices remain choppy amid uncertainty over a U.S – Iran Straight of Hormuz deal, the price is up slightly this morning to $79 per barrel.
