COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council has awarded a $671,869 contract to Quincy-based Parrish Excavating, Inc. for the second phase of the Rotary Park renovation on Monday night, which includes a new picnic pavilion, fishing dock, and lighting improvements.
Parrish, the contractor for the project’s first phase, was selected from six bidders following the July 16, opening of bids.
The project is financed by a $400,000 Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant and the City’s accumulated state cannabis tax revenues, which are restricted to the Capital Improvement Fund.
The awarded contract, approved via Resolution No. 26-86, covers the construction of the pavilion, dock, and park improvements, along with a one-year warranty.
