COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- The 20th annual Michigan Old US-27 Motor Tour officially gets underway in Coldwater today bringing hundreds of classic vehicles to town to kick off the six day cruise.
The six-day, 13-city scenic cruise celebrates the heritage of Old U.S. 27, which served as a major north-south highway connecting Michigan to Miami before the advent of the modern interstate system.
Tour director Kim Davis says founder Craig Parrish would be proud of the longevity of the annual event.
Festivities kick off this evening with a highly anticipated welcome get-together and public cruise-in hosted at Kilgore International from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., where spectators can view vintage automobiles, secure commemorative apparel, and get their event passports stamped.
