HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A benefit is scheduled for Sunday, September 13th, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion post in Hillsdale to support victims of a July 10th dog attack.
The event, featuring a meal and activities, aims to assist a 12-year-old girl and 31-year-old Janell Boot, who suffered severe injuries while defending against a group of escaped pit bull-mastiff mix dogs.
The attack occurred when the dogs escaped an outdoor enclosure and targeted the child, with Boot sustaining injuries while intervening to save her.
