STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball, Coldwater’s season came to an end with a 14-0 loss to Vicksburg in the Division Two district at Sturgis Tuesday. Vicksburg took control early as they scored six runs in the first before adding four runs in the second and four more in the third.
The Cardinals were limited to one hit as they finished their season 14-18-1.
The Union City Chargers defeated the host Bronson Vikings 3-0 and advanced to Saturdays Division Three District semifinals against Quincy. Winning pitcher Colton Johns tossed a two hit shutout and struck out nine.
A fifth inning two out three run double by Grady Kever was all the offense the Chargers needed as they improved to 22-10.
The season for 4th ranked Bronson ends at 27-6.
