COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 20th annual Michigan Old US-27 Motor Tour is officially set to depart Coldwater later this afternoon, as hundreds of classic car enthusiasts begin their scenic journey north.
Following two days of local cruise-ins, family activities, and an out-of-state trip to Waterloo Indiana, drivers will gather this morning for a poker run and a downtown scavenger hunt. After a group luncheon at the Broadway Grille on South Monroe Street, the historic caravan will receive a police escort to officially launch the multi-day tour at approximately 3:00 p.m. from the Four Corners.
Tour Director Kim Davis says after departing Coldwater, the tour will travel to Dewitt before embarking on a multi stop day on Thursday
In all the tour makes 13 stops between Coldwater and Cheboygan
This year’s milestone cruise celebrates two decades of honoring Old U.S. 27, the historic, pre-interstate highway that once spanned two-lane traffic all the way from Michigan to Miami.
