He was born July 26, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to Richard and Agnes (Jenkinson) Bell. October 26, 1963 he married the love of his life, Phyllis Funk, and together they shared nearly 63 years of marriage. She survives.
Andy was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for and caring for his family. He owned and operated his own tool and die company until his retirement, building a life through his determination, skill, and commitment to his work. While he was proud of what he accomplished professionally, his greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cherished the time spent with those closest to him.
Andrew was also deeply committed to his community. He was a member of the Bronson Knights of Columbus and gave many years of his time to organizations that were important to him and his family. He served as president of Bronson Little League for five years, where he enjoyed supporting local youth and helping provide opportunities for young people in the community.
He also served as president of the St. Mary’s School Board for three years and was a member of the St. Mary’s Parish Council.
In his free time, Andy enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He had a love for sports and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in theirs. Whether he was cheering them on from the sidelines, spending time outdoors, or simply enjoying time together, his grandchildren brought him tremendous happiness and pride. Some of his favorite memories were made in the simple moments spent with his family.
Those who knew Andy will remember him as a hardworking, dependable, and devoted man who quietly gave so much to the people he loved and to the community he called home. His family was the center of his life, and the love, guidance, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to be cherished for generations to come.
