BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater was the runner-up in the final Interstate 8 girls golf jamboree hosted by Pennfield Monday at Marywood Golf Club. The Cardinals finished with a team score of 374, fifteen strokes behind first place Harper Creek.
Coldwater freshman Aubrey Eberts was the individual medalist, finishing with an 18-hole score of 79. Alivia Arnold was seventh with a round of 94, and McKinley Earles tied for ninth with her round of 97. Payton Longstreet and Harper Anglin each carded a 104, and Julianna Cowles shot a 114.
The Cardinals find themselves alone in second place in the I-8 standings, just behind Harper Creek, heading into next Wednesday’s Conference Championship at Battle Creek’s Cedar Creek Golf Course.
Coldwater will host the Lady Cardinal Invitational Friday at the Coldwater Golf Course.
