UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City will begin flushing its water mains today, with maintenance scheduled to run through Friday, October 9th.
This routine maintenance of the municipal water system is designed to clear out mineral deposits and ensure long-term water quality.
Over the next 5 days, municipal customers may temporarily experience discolored or cloudy water as sediment is cleared from the lines.
Local officials advise residents to check their water before drinking, cooking, or doing laundry.
If discoloration occurs, homeowners should allow their cold water taps to run until the water flows completely clear.
Hydrant flushing in Bronson is scheduled to begin October 19.
