Rosalee May Nivison, 82, of Coldwater passed Sunday, October 4, 2026 at her home.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born April 23, 1944 in Coldwater to Liston and Ruth (Kiser) Peterson. She married Ronald Nivison, and he preceded her in death in 2019.
Rosie graduated from Quincy High School with the Class of 1963. She and her husband, Ron, owned and operated R & R Refrigeration in Quincy for many years. Following their retirement, they enjoyed several years in Florida before returning to Michigan after Ron’s passing in 2019.
Rosie was active in the Quincy American Legion and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Trina (Ron) Matchette of Coldwater and Christina (Craig) Lauzon of Florida; grandchildren, Sara Sattler, Kyle (Michelle) Sattler, Justin Delles, Shane (Karington) Matchette, Hailey (Robert) Walker and Morgan Matchette; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Peterson; son-in-law, Brian Shortridge; and special friends, Pam (Jack) Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; daughter, Deanna Shortridge; brother, Rick Peterson; and sister-in-law, Sue Peterson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
