PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan State Police (MSP) Marshall Post troopers are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Marcellus Road near Buckhorn Road in Park Township.
The preliminary investigation by MSP indicates a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on Marcellus Road when it was struck by a Toyota 4Runner within the intersection of Buckhorn Road.
The 58-year-old driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The driver of the Toyota, a 50-year-old Marcellus man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, it is unknown whether seatbelt use or drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation pending further review.
