COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater bowling squads split with Jackson Northwest on Tuesday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
The boys went up against the defending Boys Division 2 State Champs. Coldwater put up a good fight before falling 19-11. Coldwater split the regular games. Losing game one 911-772, winning game two 929-877, losing totals 1788-1701. They also split the Baker games losing game one 212-184, winning game two 174-162, but losing totals 374-358.
Coldwater was led by a trio of underclassmen – Junior Chance Cook rolled a 237, Sophomore Chase Rubley shot a 208 and Sophomore Austin Johnson had a 209 game.
The Girls remained undefeated as they defeated a shorthanded Northwest squad 28-2. Northwest only had two bowlers. Coldwater took both regular games – 764-288 and 714-214, winning totals 1478-502, also taking both Baker games 174-46 and 133-29, totals 307-75. Coldwater was again led by Violet Waltke with a 223 game and a 387 two game series. Senior Annabelle Kling had a 158 game.
Coldwater faces Pennfield Thursday at Midway Lanes.
