COLON, MI (WTVB) – Stickley Family Farms in Colon, Michigan has introduced a whimsical new fall attraction called “Bonetown,” a lighthearted village populated by 37 permanent, skeletal residents.
Located along the farm’s hay wagon trail, the display features skeletons frozen in humorous, everyday scenarios ranging from farming and law enforcement to moonshining.
The concept was heavily inspired by farm owner Keith Stickley’s childhood memories of visiting the famous “Boneville” attraction at Cedar Point amusement park in the 1980s. Decades later, Stickley—who has a professional background in magic and sideshow production—received a folder of original, unused concept drawings created for Cedar Point by the Funni Fright art studio.

He used those historic designs mixed with his own visual humor to build a completely unique, family-friendly experience meant to make visitors laugh rather than scream.
The hay wagon journey through Bonetown is included with general admission, which costs $15 at the gate or $13 in advance online.
Beyond the skeleton village, the historic homestead offers a wide array of classic autumn activities, including a five-acre corn maze, a giant slide, pedal go-karts, gem mining, and rides on the Mini Michigan Central Railroad.
Visitors can also explore the pumpkin patch and enjoy seasonal refreshments like hand-dipped caramel apples. The farm is open for the remaining fall season on Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
