COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With Hurricanes Harvey and Irma now distant memories, the price of gas continues to drop.
After peaking at $2.76 a gallon a couple of weeks ago, prices around Coldwater and the nearby area have been steadily dropping over the last few days.
The web site www.gasbuddy.com says one station on the east side of Coldwater had dropped its price Monday morning to $2.49.
A couple of other stations were at $2.55 which was a penny above this weeks average price in the state according to AAA Michigan.
The average price in Michigan has fallen 15 cents in the last week.
The cheapest gas in the area can be found in Battle Creek where the price at a couple of stations was down to $2.16.
Experts say prices are expected to keep moving lower over the next few months.
