COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s the day when the summer gear is exchanged for books, laptops and pencils.
Most public school students around Branch County went back to the classroom Tuesday morning.
Unlike in the last few years, all Branch County districts are starting the new school year at the same time. Coldwater, Bronson and Quincy went back on Tuesday while Union City got a waiver from the State of Michigan to start classes before Labor Day and will begin classes on Wednesday.
Classes at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic School in Bronson also began Tuesday, while St. Charles Borremeo School in Coldwater will start classes Wednesday.
