The Tigers have yet to make a free agent signing at the Winter Meetings in Nashville but on day 3, they pulled off a trade to send once promising left-handed pitcher Andy Oliver to the Pirates for minor league switch hitting catcher Ramon Cabrera.
Detroit General Manager Dave Dombrowski says they have talked to a lot of teams, but have not made an official move. Dombrowski also said the club isn't looking to do a whole bunch of big deals either. Meanwhile, Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez has been a popular guy this week. According to various reports, the White Sox and Red Sox are among at least six teams interested in signing the right-hander.
